Jolie’s doctor says twins could be weeks away

Angelina Jolie’s doctor says her twins may take a few more weeks to arrive. Dr. Michel Sussmann spoke at a brief news conference Wednesday in Nice, where Jolie is hospitalized.

Asked when the 33-year-old actress is expected to have her twins, he replied: “I can’t give you a date. Let’s say the birth will happen in the weeks to come.”

Sussmann stressed that Jolie checked into the hospital to be kept under observation, not because of any medical emergency. “Mrs. Angelina Jolie and her husband, Mr. Brad Pitt, told me to tell you that she is doing absolutely fine,” said the doctor, apparently unaware that the actors aren’t married.

“Her hospitalization at this stage in her pregnancy is totally normal for a patient who had a Caesarean (section) during her first pregnancy,” he said.

Angelina’s twins will arrive ‘in the coming weeks’ says doctor

As any expectant mother can imagine, lying around in hospital waiting to give birth to twins must be frustrating. So Angelina Jolie will have been happy to get a visit from her two daughters, Zahara and Shiloh, who arrived with their dad Brad Pitt.

The trio dropped in to Nice’s Lenval hospital just as the French obstetrician caring for the Hollywood actress told reporters she was due “in the coming weeks”. Since the Cannes film festival in May Angelina and Brad have been based in France with their family.

Her doctor was at pains to stress that his celebrity patient had checked in for monitoring rather than an emergency. “Mrs Angelina Jolie and her husband Brad Pitt told me to tell you she is doing absolutely fine,” said Dr Michel Sussmann, apparently unaware the stars are unmarried.

He added: “Her hospitalisation at this stage in her pregnancy is totally normal for someone who had a Cesarean during her first pregnancy.”

Angelina - who already has four children in total, three of them adopted - is staying in a suite of four rooms on the clinic’s fifth floor, along with the couple’s bodyguards.

Angelina ‘resting’ in French hospital ahead of twins’ birth

Angelina Jolie has checked into a hospital in the South of France where she is to have the twins she’s expecting with Brad Pitt.

A spokesman for Nice’s Lenval clinic said the über-mum - who already has three adopted children and one biological daughter with the actor - would almost certainly stay there until the arrival of her babies.

“Ms Jolie came to the hospital last night as part of a preplanned rest period before she gives birth,” said Nadine Bauer. “The visit has been planned for a long time, there are no complications. She’s just resting.”

The new additions to the Jolie-Pitt family are expected to be delivered by French doctor Michele Sussmann and American gynaecologist Jason Rothbart, who is due to fly to Europe later this week.

With interest in the new arrivals high a British magazine is even claiming to know the names of the babies. They are apparently to be called Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane - Marcheline is after Angelina’s late mother, while the other middle name is in honour of Brad’s mum.

Jolie in French hospital for birth of twins

Babies’ arrival not imminent, visit called ‘pre-planned rest period’ : PARIS - Brangelina’s twins aren’t here yet, but the big day is drawing closer.

The seafront Lenval hospital in Nice in the south of France said Tuesday that Angelina Jolie had checked in at its Santa Maria maternity clinic to be kept under doctors’ surveillance and get some rest before she gives birth.

“Ms. Jolie came to the hospital last night as part of a pre-planned rest period, before she gives birth,” Nadine Bauer, spokeswoman for the hospital, told In Touch Weekly magazine.

“The visit has been planned for a long time, there are no complications. She is just resting,” Bauer added.

The 33-year-old actress will almost certainly remain in the hospital until she gives birth, Bauer said.

One U.S. celebrity magazine has said Jolie is pregnant with two girls while a rival publication had it as a boy and girl. A British tabloid published the supposed names of the yet-to-be-born children.

Jolie has said the babies are due in August, but twins are often born early. She and her partner, Brad Pitt, have four children: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2.

Madd drew a machine gun in Mother’s Day

Angelina gave here interview again for Entertainment weekly (Click for read full interview) she also talk about little Maddox and her twins!

“Mad, our 6-year-old, draws lots of war scenarios,” she explains. “He’s all into war and guns. So for Mother’s Day he drew a machine gun, and Brad had it made into a necklace, which is really sweet. It’s really cute. I think it’s really good!”

And according with an interview, she tell twins making shock!

“Well, we weren’t expecting twins! So it did shock us, and we jumped to six quickly. But we like a challenge. We really don’t know. His mom and dad are on standby to come out and help. And fortunately we can hire help if we need it, but we’re going to try as we usually do to balance it as well as we can. The only thing for us when a new child comes home is just balancing the others. Our real focus now is: How do we make sure that the babies’ coming is not upsetting to other kids and makes them feel included. They’re old enough to feel included to change diapers themselves, to feed bottles themselves, like if I pump into a bottle. We’re trying to find ways where it can be a fun group thing. But the hard thing is every single day trying to find time for each of them privately. ‘Cause that’s our big thing. With our eldest, we have that last half an hour at night; Shiloh tends to be the first up in the morning. Everybody gets special time so we can make sure we know where they’re at.”

Jolie talk about Shiloh name!

In Angelina’s interview for Vanity Fair (July 2008), she talk about named of Shiloh Nouvel :

“It was a name my parents almost named their first child - there was a miscarriage: Shiloh Baptist. Because my father had been shooting in Georgia and that was the most southern name [my parents] could come up with. It’s a name I always liked. I used to go under it in hotels: Shiloh Baptist. I’d gone under it when [Brad] called hotel rooms where I was staying.”

And also talk about her pregnant :

“I love it,” she told me, smiled, laughed, then said, “It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body” - she raised her hands as she said this, her fingers as long as those of a point guard, and made the squeezing motion commonly used to suggest fruit that is particularly ripe “are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. “Also,” she continued, dropping her voice, leaning in, “I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depending on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”
